This small back yard was a disaster when the owners bought their home. Desiring a place to enjoy sitting as well as garden in the full-sun environment, Julie designed a plan to make the yard look and feel more spacious than it was, by building a curved seat wall and planting bed, and then adding perennials and vines to take advantage of the sun. To keep the patio budget as low as possible, we matched the existing “good” brick with new brick, as the new brick will age in time to match the old brick for a seamless look.
